I’m sorry this is partly a repeat from Monday but my goal for March was to finish up the quilt and pattern I was working on called Star Crossed. I am really excited about this quilt. I think it is the prettiest one that I’ve made and the fabrics, Baby Jane by Eric & Julie Comstock for Moda were really beautiful.
Of course, since I had a deadline, I made mistakes each step of the way and had to seam rip blocks but overall I think it went pretty well and was a fun quilt to make.
I used my leftover fabric to piece the back. And I even made my first quilt label! That was pretty fun.
I also needed to set up my website, Four Robbins Designs, and get my pattern on Craftsy. I managed to finish later than I wanted to …. but fortunately in time to link back up! And thanks to my super sweet husband who helped out with the kids, dinner, etc, not to mention loads of support and praise. You have 7 chances to win a copy for yourself during my Star Crossed Blog Hop this week with some of the awesome quilters in my local guild, St. Louis Modern Quilt Guild. You can also get a copy over on Craftsy.

For my WIP Wednesday, I’ve started on a quilt for a new pattern that will be offered free in April. I am pretty excited about it and hope that you will love it, too! I can’t show you yet, but for the quilt I am using Weeds by Me & My Sister Designs for Moda and Moda White. This is a really pretty selection of fabrics. A little out of my comfort zone color selection wise, but I think it will look really good. I know when I did black, gray and yellows I was pleasantly surprised and really love the quilt I made. I know I will love this one even more!
Here is the beautiful fabric I’m using. Can’t wait to be able to show you the quilt and the pattern. And like I said… it will be free.
That’s all for today. Hope you are having a wonderful week. Thank you for stopping by! I’d love to hear from you if you’d like to leave a comment!
