Hello! How is your week? I’ve been keeping busy! We have a room that has kept our treadmill and bowflex and bunch of junk that we decided to turn into a guest bedroom. We also figured if the exercise stuff was out in the downstairs (aka kids) tv room we would use them more! I rearranged and cleaned the tv room and got the exercise equipment relocated on Monday, though somewhere in our remaining unpacked boxes are two small pieces that go to the bowflex that I need to find! We need some things on the wall down here, too!
Tuesday I worked on my kitchen and did some gardening stuff – weeding, watering, re-potting, etc. My plants are all getting so big! It’s exciting!
Yesterday I made some homemade veggie soup, I made salad with lettuce I picked from my garden
, and I made a chile rellenos casserole (recipe posting tomorrow – so good!!!) and homemade mac and cheese. Sammy went swimming with his cousin while Andrew and I ran some errands. I’ve been reading up on different ways to harvest my herbs and save them. Yummmm.
Today, the boring laundry and I need to get the junk out of the spare room and have it clean and ready for the bed we are getting from Dad. I’m also taking Dad’s kitten to the vet for it’s shot. There is a quilt shop right by the vet called Fabric Nosherie that I’ve wanted to check out, so we might do that while we are out there. Yea!
Tomorrow – I plan to sew! I’m working on the pattern for the bag I made.
Well, that’s all for now! Have a great day and I’d love to hear what you are up to!

You will need 2 fabrics in the following cuts:
Fabric A: One 5-1/2 inch square (14 cm)
Fabric A: Eight 1-1/2 inch squares (3.8 cm)
Fabric A: Eight 3 x 1-1/2 inch strips (7.6 x 3.8cm)

Fabric B: Eight 3 x 1-1/2 inch strips (7.6 x 3.8cm)
Step 1: Following your layout, sew together pairs of Fabric A and Fabric B. (See Photo Step #1 below)
For this block, I sewed in a chain, cut apart, pressed, and laid out the block again.
Step #2: Sew pairs together.
Step #3 Following layout, make top, center, and bottom strips.
Step #4: Sew strips together to form square!

Oh, that bag is wonderful! Love the photos and the postings, especially after we talked our way through some of the projects, while you were doing them. I still love that you did the ceramic block table. A bit of me and Grandma Aimee, and quilting with tile. I liked playing Kerby with Sam down there and now it looks even cooler.
Great that Sammy gets to go off swimming with a cousin and family. I KNOW he misses the pool! Andrew being old enough to be fun and helpful on your errand runs is great. Its so nice the you and and Andrew are taking such good care of Jerry’s Little Lulu. Meow.
The plants are looking good. Bet the cute bunnies love them.
And the food looks very yummy. Hugs.
